A set of two blown glass ornaments from Neiman Marcus depicting characters from Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” One ornament is Ebenezer Scrooge — an older gentleman in a dark coat, top hat with holly, and purple cravat, holding a coin purse and carrying a leather satchel. The second ornament is a reformed Scrooge figure holding colorfully wrapped presents, wearing a similar top hat with holly, maroon vest, and dark coat, with a basket of Christmas pudding at his feet.
Item history or significance
Labeled “Scrooge/Tiny Tim” on the Neiman Marcus box. The box is an elegant cream-colored Neiman Marcus gift box with black ribbon. The ornaments capture two aspects of Scrooge’s character from the classic Dickens story.
