Christopher Radko 1996 “Nutcracker Suite” blown glass ornament set of three figures: Clara, Drosselmeier, and the Soldier. The Soldier is a red-uniformed figure standing at attention with a tall hat. Clara is a girl in a light blue dress holding a nutcracker doll. Drosselmeier is depicted in a dramatic red cape and eye patch, in a regal, mysterious pose befitting the magical toymaker. All three are beautifully hand-painted with fine detail.
Item history or significance
Part of Christopher Radko’s Nutcracker Suite collection from 1996. These characters are from Tchaikovsky’s famous ballet based on E.T.A. Hoffmann’s story “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King.”
